Teton County, Wyoming is now ready to begin vaccinating sub-groups in phase 1b of the state distribution plan. Based on the county’s January COVID Vaccine allocation, the focus will be on completing phase 1a and move into sub-groups 1, 2 and 3 of phase 1b, which includes Fire/EMS, Police, 911 staff, correctional staff, morticians and those who are 70 years and older. However, Teton County has decided to focus on individuals 80 years and older first, based on guidance from the Wyoming Department of Health as well as in consideration of the limited numbers of COVID vaccine doses available in January. Beginning the week of January 11th, individuals aged 80 and older who are interested in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine will be able to add their names to a list that will be used to schedule appointments for the vaccine. They can make their wishes known at tetoncountywy.gov/covidvax , where they can also find updates on the COVID-19 vaccination progress. At this time, Teton County will receive weekly shipments of the COVID vaccine for a total of 800 doses in the month of January.
