The annual Boy Scout Antler Auction is going virtual again this year because of the high exposure rate of the COVID virus. At this time, the 2021 auction is open now through October 2nd at 5:00 pm. Last year’s online sale remained robust in comparison with the previous live auctions, and it is hoped that will hold true this year as well. The lots for bidding are depicted online. As usual, all proceeds benefit the National Elk Refuge and the local Scouts BSA. This is the second year that the famous auction will take place entirely online due to rising COVID cases and safety concerns. At the same time, private antler sales on Town Square and the High Noon Chili Cookoff have been canceled as well. It is hoped that all the pageantry and activities of Elkfest will return in May of 2022.
