February visitation to Grand Teton National Park was looking pretty good prior to the national shut-down in March. According to the National Park Visitor Use Statistics Office, recreational visitation had increased by 25.7% over February 2019. Non-recreational travel through the park went up by 18.4% helping push visitation to the park for the first to months of the year nearly 9¼%. Total visitation to Grand Teton during the first two months of the year was 378,338. Officials in both Grand Teton and Yellowstone are unsure when the COVID-19 restrictions will be lifted and the parks will be able to reopen for the summer season.
