iWalk, iBike, iBus to School Day is back this week. This year the event is being held at Jackson Elementary today and was held Colter Elementary, Wilson Elementary, and Jackson Hole Middle School yesterday. Smith’s Food & Drug has generously donated fresh fruit for all participants and Friends of Pathways will also be handing out stickers and bicycle pins.
The iWalk, iBike iBus to School Day is a great opportunity to teach children about safe walking and cycling along our busy local roadways and to encourage active lifestyle choices at a young age.
The event also demonstrates that alternative transportation choices are fun, healthy and can reduce traffic congestion, especially the long line of idling cars at school drop-off and pick-up.
