West Thumb Geyser Basin in Yellowstone National Park has now reopened after a two-week closure.
The area was closed on September 12th after smoke was seen coming from a storage building that housed solar batteries.
Yellowstone’s structural fire crew closed the area after determining the fumes from the batteries could be dangerous to visitors.
It remained closed until the batteries had fully discharged and fumes had dissipated from the area.
Rangers have declared the area is now safe to access.
