Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, the White Pine Ski Area outside Pinedale is slated to reopen for the 2020/21 winter season November 27th. According to the resort, the lifts were not damaged by the tragic fire that leveled the resort’s main lodge, and have been inspected by Doppelmayr, the lift manufacturer. Annual Maintenance was carried out in April and May 2020, and so subject to snowfall the ski area plans to have Lower and Upper Mountain Lifts open from November 27th thru March 28th. Despite the White Pine Lodge having been destroyed by the July 12th, 2019 fire, the resort will have temporary facilities for rentals, ticketing, ski school, grill, bar, bathrooms, and a warm place to get in from the cold. Like all other ski resorts in Wyoming, ski operations are subject to any COVID-19 conditions set by State or County Health Officers.
