Whole Grocer to Become Whole Foods

Jackson Whole Grocer announced Tuesday that it has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Whole Foods Market. Jeff Rice, Owner of Jackson Whole Grocer says “We are fortunate to have this opportunity with Whole Foods Market, an organization that is aligned with our mission of creating and sharing exceptional experiences in food and shopping. Whole Foods Market is best-in-class at providing such extraordinary experiences and they are often recognized as one of the best companies to work for in America.”
The transaction is expected to close in early 2021, subject to customary closing conditions. Whole Foods Market will offer positions to as many qualified Jackson Whole Grocer employees as possible.
The store will remain open throughout the transition. Rocky Mountain Regional President for Whole Foods Market Bill Jordan, “We look forward to getting to know the Jackson community – including residents and visitors,” and he pledges to provide products meeting Whole Foods Market’s standards as well as  – and providing them with products that must meet Whole Foods Market’s strict quality standards, as well still providing local items unique to the area.
