A wildfire driven by high winds Tuesday destroyed two homes and several outbuildings in a small community just east of Yellowstone National Park and was responsible for the death of resident there.
The fire, which started when power lines near Clark, Wyoming were blown into a tree, burned a total of 300 to 400 acres of grasses and trees. Wind gusts of up to 100 miles per hour were estimated to be hitting the area during the fire.
Information about the woman who died in the fire was not immediately known, other than that she was the wife of one of the firefighters. Another, less devastating but larger fire was also reported in Montana, nearby.
