The state of Wyoming’s new Wildlife Conservation License Plates are now available. The bill authorizing these plates was passed during last year’s legislative session. The new wildlife-themed license plate will help with wildlife conservation efforts related to the transportation system, including signage, wildlife corridors, wildlife crossings and fencing. Any person required to register a vehicle in Wyoming may choose to apply to WYDOT for the Wildlife Conservation License Plates for any motor vehicle that is not a commercial or multipurpose vehicle. A Completed application is required to be mailed to the Wyoming Department of Transportation along with a fee of $180 made payable to WYDOT covering $150 to the Wildlife Conservation Fund and $30 Specialty Plate fee. Renewal from year to year requires a $50 annual fee in addition to the regular registration fees.
