The Wyoming Department of Transportation will be doing a bridge inspection on the Wilson Bridge Tuesday and Wednesday. Work will take place from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm on both days. To perform the work, crews will bring in a snooper truck and a support truck onto the bridge deck. These trucks will take up a single lane, reducing traffic to one lane over the bridge. Motorists will be flagged across the bridge in alternating directions. Crews are expecting delays of up to 15 minutes, but delays could vary with traffic congestion. WYDOT explains that bridges are inspected every two years, to make sure they are in working condition and to note any potential repairs. The data collected in the inspection is used in WYDOT’s bridge management system to help prioritize work across the state.
