The National Weather Service posted yet another winter storm warning continuing through 11:00 pm Thursday with blowing snow likely that they predicted will significantly reduce visibility down to a quarter mile at times.
Winds as high as 45 miles per hour will cause blowing snow and make travel difficult. Total snowfall could be as much as two feet in the mountains around Jackson Hole.
Blizzard conditions in Eastern Idaho closed roads and prompted the cancellation of classes at area schools Tuesday. As the day progressed, highways 31, 32 and 33 reopened with winter driving conditions, but US Highway 26 between Ririe and Swan Valley remained closed into the evening.
Driving conditions on Teton Pass were snow-packed and slick with traffic moving more slowly than usual over the pass.
