A Winter Storm Warning is in effect from midnight tonight until 6 AM Saturday
Periods of snow, heavy at times with total snow accumulations
of 4 to 8 inches in the lower elevations, and 10 to 20 inches in
the mountains. Isolated 2 feet of snow is possible in the
mountains.
Affected areas are Jackson Hole, the Upper Green River Basin Foothills
including Pinedale, the Upper Wind River Basin including Dubois,
the Teton and Gros Ventre Mountains, Salt and Wyoming Mountains,
and the Wind River Mountains.
Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Blowing snow will significantly reduce visibility to near zero at times
including over South Pass. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
