WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 5 AM THURSDAY TO 5 PM MST
FRIDAY…
Significant snow and wind are expected in the western mountains and valleys Thursday and Friday…
The snow will be accompanied by increasing wind late Thursday into Friday morning complicating
travel over the western mountain passes.
Total snow accumulations of 13 to 24
inches. Winds gusting as high as 60 mph along the higher
exposed ridges in the Teton and Gros Ventre Mountains.
From 5 AM Thursday to 5 PM MST Friday.
Teton and Togwotee Passes will become slick and snow covered.
Total snow accumulations will range from 20 inches across the southern portion of Yellowstone Park to 4 inches around Mammoth. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph in open areas.
Travel could be very difficult. Blowing snow will significantly reduce visibility. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
