Winter Storm Warning into Friday for Teton County

A Winter Storm Warning into Friday is in effect for Teton County as issued by the National Weather Service in Riverton.

This Winter Storm Warning is in effect until 12 pm on Friday December 2nd.
Snow is expected with total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches in the Jackson Hole valley and winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

Higher snowfall amounts of 3 to 5 inches are forecast for the Teton and Gros Ventre Mountains with winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

Teton Pass Commuters will be impacted

Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions will impact the morning commute. Blowing and drifting snow will restrict visibility to a quarter mile at times. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.

More snow on the way

After the current storm moves out, sunshine is forecast for Saturday. On Sunday, however, meteorologists predict more of the white stuff coming into Jackson Hole.

  • Saturday – Mostly sunny, with a high near 20. Wind chill values as low as -20. South wind around 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
  • Saturday Night – Partly cloudy, with a low around 10. Southwest wind around 10 mph becoming east after midnight.
  • Sunday – Snow, mainly after 11am. High near 26. East southeast wind 11 to 14 mph becoming south in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. – Sunday Night
  • Low around 18. Breezy, with a southwest wind 16 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.
  • Monday – Snow. High near 21. Breezy. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
  • Monday Night – Snow likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 12. Breezy. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
  • Tuesday – Snow likely, mainly before 11am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 16. Breezy. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
  • Tuesday Night – A chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 6. Breezy.
