Wyoming trophy hunters have so far harvested 19 wolves throughout the state this year. The quota for wolf hunters in 2019 is 34. Approximately half of the 11 designated hunt areas have closed for the season now, only one of which is among the five hunt areas in Teton County. Elsewhere in Wyoming where wolves have been classified as predators, an additional 20 animals have been killed. The overall Wyoming wolf population at the beginning of the year was estimated at 286, down 61 animals from a year ago.
