An unidentified woman who illegally entered Yellowstone National Park despite it being closed yesterday, was airlifted to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center after she accidentally fell into a thermal feature in the Old Faithful Geyser Basin and suffered burns. According to a park spokesperson, the woman was contacted by a ranger as she was driving north to the Mammoth Hot Springs area following her accident. She told rangers she was taking photos when she backed into the thermal feature. No information was immediately available regarding the extent of her injuries. Park officials are currently investigating the incident.
