If you were to choose a state to live in where you could be the happiest and healthiest, which one would you choose. Gallup Polls did a study on that topic and ranked the top ten for those qualities in 2019. The perennial first place was the state of Hawaii, but coming in as a close second was Wyoming. The Gallup-Healthways survey measured five specific elements of well-being: liking what you do each day and being motivated to achieve your goals, having supportive relationships and love in your life, managing your economic life to live within your means and reduce stress, liking where you live, feeling safe and having pride in your community, and having good health and enough energy to get things done daily. The states were then scored on a scale of 0 to 100, with 0 representing the lowest possible well-being, and 100 the highest. Hawaii’s score was 64.4, but Wyoming, which took second place had a score of 64.2; boasting the highest score for community well-being. Following Wyoming on the list in order of appearance were Alaska, Montana, Utah and Colorado.
