While many have been criticizing state leadership in Wyoming on its handling of the coronavirus epidemic, a communique from the White House task force on coronavirus says the Cowboy State is ahead of most when it comes to testing. In fact, the White House says the states with the highest monthly testing capacity, just shy of 10%, are Wyoming, Utah and Vermont. On the other end of the spectrum, Oregon, Montana, Oklahoma and Maine are able to test fewer than 30 in 1,000 people a month. As of Tuesday, Wyoming had tested 7363 residents for the virus and confirmed 322 cases of which 23 residents were hospitalized and 254 were now considered recovered. Wyoming recorded six deaths attributed to the virus.
