Fallout from the “shelter at home,” and incidence of community spread of the COVID-19 virus in the more congested areas of the US, may lead to more businesses being attracted to Wyoming in the future. Josh Dorrell, Chief Executive Officer at Wyoming Business Council, told the media Wednesday that the council is continuing to recruit businesses to the state, and the comparative isolation here is looking increasingly attractive.
Dorrell said, “Really, right now, our sparse population and beautiful locales might even be more attractive than ever before. So, as we look at that, we’re trying to find out about how to bring more remote workers in later – how to make sure the companies that want to escape those densely populated areas can take advantage of what Wyoming has to offer.”
Dorrell says those marketing the state are certainly doing less travel and fewer conferences during the health crisis, but are still making contacts to discuss the advantages of doing business in Wyoming.
