The Wyoming Energy Authority (WEA) is inviting public input on its proposed Home Energy Savings Program, which aims to assist low- and middle-income residents in reducing their utility bills by funding energy efficiency improvements. The program will distribute over $69 million in federally funded rebates for projects such as improved insulation and efficient electric appliances.
Public Engagement Opportunities
A public input session will take place on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. MT. The event will be held both in person and online to accommodate broader participation. Attendees can share their feedback on the program design, including:
- Encouraging participation in the program.
- Identifying barriers to applying for rebates.
- Effective ways to communicate program information.
- Engaging residential energy contractors to implement projects.
- Addressing concerns about the program.
Comments will help WEA refine the program to better serve Wyoming residents and collaborate with the community.
