It was a close call this week for a moose calf that fell through some ice on a pond that had aerators in the South Park area.
Fortunately, Game and Fish employees and local landowners came to the aid of the youngster and rescued it from a possible watery demise.
Game and Fish officials say the calf was reunited with its mother and was later observed doing well after the trauma.
