Wyoming is the Least Sinful State

It appears people in Wyoming are generally pretty well behaved.
According to the financial website, Wallet Hub, every state has virtues and vices, and vices are especially hard to conquer during the stresses of the COVID-19 pandemic. Harmful behavior on the individual level can result in staggering economic costs, considering that gambling addiction costs the U.S. $5 billion per year and smoking costs dwarf that with over $300 billion per year.
The website’s just-released study of “Sinful and Least-Sinful states” shows of the 50 states, Wyoming is the least sinful, followed by Idaho, Vermont and Utah in that order. As you might expect, Nevada is number one on the other end of the spectrum followed by California and Texas.
The study took into consideration 47 key indicators of immoral or illicit behavior ranging from violent crimes per capita, to excessive drinking, to the share of the population with gambling disorders.
