Only a few weeks remain to nominate conservationists — past and present — to the 2019 Wyoming Outdoor Hall of Fame. The last day to submit nomination packets is Dec. 3; criteria and nominations forms are available online. Potential inductees are those who made a significant, lasting, lifetime contribution to the conservation of Wyoming’s outdoor heritage.
Since 2004, the Outdoor Hall of Fame has recognized individuals who have worked consistently over many years to conserve Wyoming’s natural resources through volunteer service, environmental restoration, educational activities, audio/visual and written media, the arts and political and individual leadership. Last year’s inductees included Gary B. Butler, William G. Hepworth and Dr. George T. Baxter (posthumously).
The induction ceremony will take place in Cody at the Buffalo Bill Center for the West in March; tickets will be available for the public to attend and sponsorship opportunities are available. For questions, contact Sara DiRienzo at (307) 777-4540.
