Water levels at reservoirs in the Upper Snake River Drainage are gradually rising despite the lower-than-average precipitation seen throughout the area. As of Saturday, the system was measured at 60% of capacity overall.
Specifically, Jackson Lake is now 38% filled up from 22% in April, and Palisades Reservoir is 59% filled increasing from 39% in April, and Grassy Lake is 100% filled.
However, the Bureau of Reclamation predicts that Jackson Lake and Palisades will not fill to their capacities this year. Farther west, Henry’s Lake and Island Park are currently at capacity, Ririe is 77% filled and American Falls Reservoir is 65% filled.
