Beginning Monday, travelers between Cody and Jackson will no longer be able to travel through Yellowstone National Park unless they travel through the northeast entrance. Park officials have announced Fishing Bridge will be closed for the rest of the year. Construction crews have been working through the summer on a 3.5-mile section of the East Entrance Road between Fishing Bridge and Indian Pond to widen narrow roads, improve entry and exit points into developed areas, provide for better scenic viewing, and repair the historic Fishing Bridge. Those wishing to visit the park from Cody will be able to travel the East Entrance Road as far as Sedge Bay until November 5th; weather permitting. Most other roads in Yellowstone will also remain open until that date as well. Yellowstone roads will reopen to over snow use beginning December 15th.
