A man who had been employed in Yellowstone National Park is facing life in prison for holding another man at knifepoint in the park last week. Gregory Toth was charged this week in federal court with assault with a deadly weapon and with kidnapping.
Both charges are felonies, and the kidnapping charge carries a maximum penalty of life in prison. Toth was also charged with misappropriation of property, possession of marijuana, driving under the influence and having an open container in the vehicle.
All told, Toth could face up to life in prison, up to $520,000 in fines plus special assessment fees, and up to five years of supervised release.
