Wintery weather disrupted the ability of visitors to access Yellowstone National Park on Saturday. A large snowstorm closed the major mountain passes in the park on Saturday, which required the park to close the east and south entrances while crews cleared the roads. However, visitors continued enjoying the southern loop of Yellowstone National Park Sunday and Monday over the Memorial Day weekend. On Sunday, 1732 vehicles passed through the South Entrance and 901 were counted at the East Entrance. Then on Monday, 1042 vehicles were counted entering the park from the South and 1011 from the East. Park officials say the totals for both entrances over those two days were 97% of what they were in 2019.
