Yellowstone visitation over the Memorial Day holiday weekend set records again. Park-wide vehicle entries through the Memorial Day weekend showed a 50% increase over the same weekend in 2019. This year is compared to 2019 because in 2020, during the same time frame, only the Wyoming park entrances were open due to COVID-19. Altogether, the count at the entrance stations collectively was up 80% on May 28th, 42% on May 29th, and 49% on Memorial Day. As far as the season ahead is concerned, most park camping and lodging is reserved and full, and expect very crowded roads and visitor facilities.
