Yellowstone National Park has announced that weather-permitting, the South Entrance will open tomorrow. Additionally, the road from Lake Village to West Thumb and Craig Pass between west Thumb and Old Faithful will open to visitor traffic. However, park officials quickly caution, conditions can change quickly, especially during spring, and roads can temporarily close due to poor driving conditions.
Travelers can learn about the latest road conditions online or by calling 307-344-2117. A limited number of lodging and dining facilities have opened in the park so far, but most will open by the end of the month.
