A young girl snowmobiling on Togwotee Pass Saturday afternoon was the subject of a rescue by Teton County Search and Rescue after she suffered a serious leg injury.
The unnamed girl had been involved in a snowmobile accident just before 4:00 pm and was suffering from cold and pain when rescuers arrived and said her leg felt numb.
Volunteers responded with a RZR, snowmobiles and helicopter. The heli-team made contact with the reporting party and landed near the patient. The team then packaged her and transported her to a waiting ambulance, which took her to St John’s Hospital in Jackson. The entire mission was completed in under four hours. There is no word on the girl’s condition.
