YouTube video could show Petito van in Wyoming forest

September 19, 2021 by Jackson Hole Radio

A pair of YouTube contributors have posted video that could show missing woman Gabby Petito’s van in the Spread Creek dispersed camping area where law enforcement has been searching over the weekend.
The video was posted by YouTube users Jenn and Kyle Bethune who were in the area on a road trip and is purportedly from the evening of August 27th between 6:00 and 6:30 pm.

The Bethunes noted that they noticed the van because it had Florida plates. “We are from Florida too and wanted to stop to say hi, but the van was dark and it didn’t look like there was anyone there.”
The camping area has been the subject of an investigation throughout the weekend with the FBI, the National Park Service, U.S. Forest Service, the Teton County Sheriff’s Office, and the Jackson Police Department conducting ground surveys in the Bridger-Teton National Forest on the east boundary of Grand Teton National Park.
This area is closed to the public and will remain closed until the surveys are complete.
The FBI is asking  anyone who may have been in the Spread Creek Dispersed Camping Area between the dates of August 27-30, 2021  and who may have had contact with Gabby or her boyfriend, or who may have seen their vehicle to provide that information to the FBI through these tiplines: tips.fbi.gov, 1-800-CALL-FBI, or 303-629-7171.
Photos and videos may be uploaded via the FBI’s digital media tipline dedicated to this case: fbi.gov/petito.
Gabby and her boyfriend were traveling in a white 2012 Ford Transit van with a variety of stickers on the back with Florida plate QFTG03. The FBI has a Missing Person poster that includes photos of Gabby and her van available for review or download here: https://www.fbi.gov/wanted/kidnap/gabrielle-gabby-petito.
