As members of the public scramble to assure they are taking appropriate measures to guard against contracting the COVID19 Coronavirus, several tips have stood out over the past weeks: wash your hands frequently during the day, don’t touch your face after coming into contact with surfaces that have not been disinfected, and don’t travel into areas where the disease is rampant. Dr. Brent Blue also says one specific supplement can also prove useful in that fight.
“The only supplement that has been shown scientifically to really improve protection against viruses has been high-dose zinc. There was really no product on the market that was used in experiments with zinc that’s available; but I do think that zinc lozenges can be very helpful in preventing infections – but it still comes down to hand-washing and not touching your face.” Blue said.
Meanwhile, those who are ill themselves should stay home and refrain from mingling with others in the community.
