Chimney Fire Contained
An evening fire call north of Jackson resulted in no major damage, although firefighters describe it as pretty dramatic for a while. The fire was contained in the chimney of the residence, and Fire Marshal Kathy Clay says firefighters were able to control it before it extended outside the chimney. Clay reminds area residents to be sure their chimneys are clean – especially after a period of pretty steady burning during cold weather.
