New Watercraft Regulations In Wyoming

February 20, 2013 State of Wyoming No Comments
AIS Inspection

Even though boating season is still several months away, Wyoming Game and Fish Department has announced that there have been a few changes to the Aquatic Invasive Species regulations and required inspections. Under the new regulations, any watercraft transported into Wyoming between March first and November 30th must undergo a mandatory AIS inspection prior to launching it into any waters in the state. In addition, any watercraft that has been in water infested with zebra or quagga mussels within the past 30 days must undergo a mandatory inspection prior to launching. The revised regulation is in effect for all waters during all months of the year. A listing of waters that are infested in other states is posted at ramps at a number of waters as well as at wgfd.wyo.gov/AIS.
