The Community Foundation of Jackson Hole has announced that the new Community Emergency Response Fund has reached a landmark $1.4-million. The Response Fund was activated to support local nonprofits helping those directly impacted by the COVID-19 virus. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to unfold, the Community Foundation is striving to ensure that the Response Fund’s resources increase in tandem with our community’s rapidly evolving needs. Hansjörg Wyss committed a lead gift of $750-thousand to the Response Fund, helping to seed the efforts of the Community Foundation. Foundation Board members and donors quickly doubled the Fund’s size, and 100% of the Board contributed to the Response Fund. As of early this week, donations to the Fund total just over $1.4-million, and the Foundation has already begun to help the most vulnerable in the community through grants to local nonprofit partners.
