Understanding the Impact on Jackson’s National Elk Refuge

Discover the importance of wetlands and their role in preserving the environment. Learn how dog and people waste affects local waterways, with insights from a study conducted by Teton Conservation District in 2003, linking dog waste to human-caused E. Coli contamination in Fish and Flat Creeks. By addressing the dog waste problem, the National Elk Refuge aims to create a cleaner and healthier environment for all. Responsible pet recreation is crucial in preserving the beauty of Jackson and ensuring the well-being of local water ecosystems. Through this event, individuals can actively participate in the solution and make a positive impact on their community.

Promoting Responsible Pet Ownership

To help you in your efforts, create your own Used Poop Bag Carrier, a practical accessory to promote responsible pet ownership. Hence, make sure to join the National Elk Refuge in promoting responsible pet recreation and tackling the dog waste issue in Jackson. Together, we can create a cleaner and more sustainable environment. For further information and related topics, explore the National Elk Refuge and Teton County Library websites.
