Jackson, WY – The Wort Hotel is celebrating its 75th Anniversary this year with several memorable events beginning with a kick-off party on Thursday, May 26. Highlighting this event will be special guest Governor Matt Mead. Wort Hotel owner Bill Baxter will also be present to celebrate this milestone with everyone. “The Baxter Family and The Wort staff are so honored to have the Governor join us for this momentous occasion,” said Bill Baxter. “We hope the Jackson Hole community will come out and celebrate with us.”

5-9:00pm Anniversary Ale Launch with Snake River Brewery
A special 75th Anniversary menu is available for lunch and at 5pm we’ll unveil our Anniversary Ale crafted by Snake River Brewery. From 5-7:00pm Anniversary Ale drafts are only 75¢ with proceeds benefiting homeless animals of Teton County. There will be live music with Major Zephyr, prizes and giveaways, plus a variety of commemorative anniversary merchandise.
General Manager Jim Waldrop adds, “Our diamond anniversary deserves a huge celebration that includes the entire community—most of whom have a story or two to tell about The Wort. We hope everyone who loves The Wort knows that they’re the reason this fine old hotel has endured: This community, along with our amazing staff, is a living testimony to The Wort’s historic significance in Jackson Hole.”
