Discover their collaborative efforts spanning six years to collect, record, and preserve the nearly forgotten history of Upper Snake River scenic rafting within Grand Teton National Park. Explore the fascinating journey of uncovering the stories that shape the region’s rich heritage.
Preserving the Past
Learn how Dr. Yolonda Youngs and Curator Bridgette Guild collaborated with community members to piece together the early commercial rafting history of the Upper Snake River. Through the collection of photographs, oral histories, and artifacts, witness the dedication and commitment of individuals in preserving this vital part of the park’s past. At the forum, engage in an insightful discussion on the significance of community involvement in preserving shared heritage.
