After being reported missing since February, two girls from Alpine, 8-year-old Tamzen Walsh and 12-year-old Lilyana Walsh, have been found safe in Georgia.
The girls were with their mother, Stephanie, and were reported missing by their father after Stephanie left with the children and no contact had been made for months. However, a local resident saw Stephanie and called the authorities, leading to their discovery.
Stephanie has been charged with misdemeanor reckless conduct, as she reportedly suffers from various mental health concerns. The children are currently with a family friend and their father is on his way to pick them up. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office has concluded its investigation.
