St. John’s Health has been recognized as one of Newsweek’s top hospitals in the nation in 2020, including being Wyoming’s first-place and the only hospital selected. Out of the 4,500 qualified hospitals in the United States, fewer than 300 earned this distinction. Three data sources were used for the evaluation: hospital recommendations from peers, patient experience, and various medical key performance indicators. St. John’s was nationally ranked 261 out of 281 hospitals selected. The leading hospitals for 21 countries were also named to Newsweek’s 2020 list of the world’s best hospitals.
