An Effort to Prevent Seasonal Flu and COVID
To bolster community health this flu season, the Teton County Health Department is hosting four walk-in flu vaccine clinics, eliminating the need for prior appointments. Officials emphasize the importance of annual flu vaccinations as the most effective measure to prevent seasonal flu and its potential complications.
The Flu Clinics Schedule
- For Seniors:
- Dates: September 29 and October 6, 2023.
- Location: Senior Center of Jackson Hole, 830 E. Hansen Ave.
- Time: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
- High dose flu vaccines for those 65+ (while supplies last) and regular quadrivalent vaccines for ages 60-64. Attendees are urged to bring relevant health insurance or Medicare cards.
- For Uninsured or Underinsured Individuals:
- Date: October 14, 2023.
- Location: Teton County Library, Ordway Auditorium, 125 Virginian Lane.
- Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
- Free flu shots with Spanish interpretation available.
- For Families and Children:
- Date: October 20, 2023.
- Location: Teton County Health Department, 460 E. Pearl Ave.
- Time: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM.
- Vaccines for children (those below 18 must be with a parent/guardian). Insurance or Medicaid cardholders should bring their cards.
COVID-19 Vaccines
In addition to the walk-in clinics, appointment-based flu and COVID-19 vaccines will be available starting October 3. For additional dates and appointment scheduling, residents can refer to the Teton County official websites: www.tetoncountywy.gov/flu for flu vaccines, and www.tetoncountywy.gov/covidvax for COVID-19 vaccines.
