A Winter Storm Warning lasting into Wednesday is in effect for Western Wyoming Mountains. It was issued by the National Weather Service in Riverton.
This Winter Storm Warning is in effect until 6am on Wednesday December 28th.
Snow is expected in Yellowstone National Park, the Teton and Gros Ventre
Mountains and the Salt River and Wyoming ranges.
10 to 18 inches of snow
Moderate to heavy snow is expected with this storm. Total snow accumulations
of 10 to 18 inches could occur in the mountain ranges and in the southern portion of Yellowstone National Park. Winds gusts as high as 50 mph are predicted.
Snowfall of 5 to 10 inches is predicted in the northern portion of the park.
Total snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches are forecast in the Jackson Hole Valley with higher amounts north of Jackson. Winds will be gusting as high as 40 mph.
Teton Pass evening commuters will be impacted
