St. John’s Medical Center has launched a new wellness partnership with the Teton County School District to provide blood screenings at no charge to school district employees. A confidential online health risk assessment will be conducted and a program developed to address the primary risk factors for the TCSD population, whether that is high blood pressure, body mass index or another identified health issue. Participation is voluntary, but as is standard with worksite wellness programs, District employees will be provided monetary incentives for taking part. The program, entitled “Wellness Works” will begin in 2013. Hospital officials encourage businesses interested in learning more about St. John’s Wellness Works to contact hospital through Wellness Coordinator Julia Heemstra at 739-7244.
