Hospital Officers Elected

St. John’s Medical Center’s board of directors has reelected Dr. John Payne as Chief of Medical Staff for 2013.  St. John’s election of officers by the board was held last week with physicians elected by their peers to represent their specialties on the Medical Executive Committee for the coming year. Dr. Angus “Gus” Goetz was elected Vice-Chief of Staff & Chief of Surgery; Dr. Marc Domsky will serve as Secretary/Treasurer; Dr. Gerald Katz becomes the Chief of Medicine; Dr. Rafael Williams is the Surgery Representative; Dr. Travis Riddell was elected Perinatal Representative; and Dr. Jim Little, Jr. and Dr. A.J. Wheeler will be Members at Large.  Hospital officials say it is the task of these representatives to assure quality of care at St. John’s.
