With the launch of antler hunting at midnight tonight, Bridger-Teton National Forest urges those heading out on the forest to be responsible in their efforts. Spokesperson Mary Cernicek says among those concerns is staying on established roads and paths when traveling to the chosen hunt areas.
Also, in spite of the damp conditions on the forest right now, Cernicek urges forest users to be very mindful in their use of warming fires.
Other safety concerns the Forest Service has includes the large number of people trekking through the forest at night while bears are coming out. Cernicek reminds people to carry their bear spray when out on the forest.
