Search Continues In Wind River Mountains

The search for a missing hiker, James “Randy” Udall of Carbondale Colorado, continues in the Wind River Mountains of west of Pinedale today.  Udall was reported overdue on Friday, two days after his planned exit from the back country.  Search operations began that afternoon and have continued extensively with cooperation of Tip Top Search and Rescue, Teton County Search and Rescue, the U.S. Forest Service and Sublette County Emergency Management.  The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office contract helicopter and a helicopter of the Air National Guard are also conducting aerial searches of the area. Udall is the son of the late U.S. Congressman Morris “Mo” Udall of Arizona and the brother of current U.S. Senator Mark Udall of Colorado.
