The Emigrant Fire in Park County, Montana just north of Yellowstone National Park is now 520 acres and is still zero-percent contained. The firefighting effort yesterday grew to three type-1 crews, one type-2 crew, two helicopters and four engines. Gallatin National Forest has called for a public meeting tomorrow evening at 6:00 pm in the Paradise Valley Fire Hall. As yet, the fire has not posed any immediate threat to private property. Still, continued hot and dry weather continue to exacerbate burning conditions in the area.
