Another Rescue In The Forest

TCSAR

The Interagency Helicopter staffed by two members of the Teton County Search and Rescue Team were dispatched Wednesday afternoon to the back country of Bridger Teton National Forest several miles northeast of Heart Six Ranch to aid a 55 year-old man who had been kicked in the head by a horse.  Undersheriff Bob Gilliam says Eric Palmquist of Moran was stabilized at the scene and flown to Blackrock Ranger Station and transferred to a Grand Teton National Park ambulance.  From there he was taken to St. John’s Medical Center for Treatment.  Gilliam says a group of 15 search and rescue volunteers had also staged themselves to respond in the event the helicopter was unable to land.  There is no word on Palmquist’s condition.
