September GTNP Statistics Show Strong Visitation

GTNP Entrance

The National Park Service Visitor Use Statistics Office has released the attendance figures for September in Grand Teton National Park.  The report shows a 3.7% increase in recreational visits for the month, just slightly fewer than the record September attendance in 2010.  Combined with those in the park for reasons other than recreation, the count of park visitors showed a nearly 5½% increase over September of 2012.  Altogether, an estimated 545,800 people visited the park during the month which exceeded the total count in 2010 for the month and helped push the year-to-date visits to 3,658,706; or 7.6% more visitors than the same period of 2012.
