2013 marks Snow King Mountain’s 75th anniversary, and what better way to mark the milestone than with a product for a favorite apre-ski pastime even if you’re not a very good skier.  Snake River Brewing has announced the creation of a special beer for the anniversary – Snow King Pale Ale.  The commemorative beverage is being made available in limited-edition cans at local liquor stores.  The brew is also to be available on tap at Snow King Resort. Meanwhile, Snow King Mountain was Wyoming’s first ski area and began with a single cable tow in 1939.  Seventy-five years later, the “Town Hill,” remains one of the steepest mountains around and remains a vital part of the Jackson community, cultivating generations of world-class skiers and those who enjoy the good life.

  • Don’t lose your vision in the woods - October 21, 2014
I don’t have good eyes. Had I been born a hundred years ago, there would have been no help for me. Glasses can’t help me, so I’d have blind. I have to wear a special kind of contact lens, which wasn’t available in the days of Davey Crockett and Daniel Boone. But through the miracle […]
  • Hunters must be conservationists first - October 20, 2014
As hunters, it’s our responsibility to take care of the critters we hunt, as well as those we don’t. We have to obey the game laws. Police ourselves to be sure others respect the wildlife. And even offer suggestions to the Game and Fish Commission when we think there are better ways to ensure that […]
